About the College
The Central Law College was founded by Prof. R.V. Dhanapalan in the year 1984. The College is recognised by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi and is affiliated to Tamil Nadu Dr Ambedkar Law University.
About the Competition
Prof. R. V. Dhanapalan Inter College Moot Court Competition has been conceived with the aim of creating opportunities for learning and development of jurisprudence on emerging trends in law and to develop cutting edge skills in research, drafting and advocacy.
It is aimed to facilitate the evolution of the jurisprudential analysis of the laws and consequential emergence of new laws.
Eligibility
Participation is restricted to bona fide undergraduate students of 5 years/ 3 years Law programme of any University/ College/ Institution (recognised by the Bar Council of India).
The Registration shall be restricted to 24 teams on a first come first serve basis.
Only one team is allowed from each participating institution.
Awards and Rewards
- Winners of the Moot Court Competition will be awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 15,000/-& Winner’s Trophy, mementos for team members and a Certificate of Merit.
- The Runners-up team will be awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 10,000/- & Trophy. mementos for team members and a Certificate of Merit.
- Most Disciplined Team (1 team based on average court manners marks in all rounds) will be awarded with a cash prize of Rs.3000/- & Trophy, mementos for team members and a Certificate of Merit.
- Best Student Advocate Male will be awarded with a cash prize of Rs.3000/- & Trophy and a Certificate of Merit.
- Best Student Advocate Female will be awarded with a cash prize of Rs.3000/- & Trophy and a Certificate of Merit.
- The Best Researcher Award (highest aggregate marks in the researcher Test) will be awarded with a cash prize of Rs.3000/-& Trophy and a Certificate of Merit.
- The Best Memorial Award (the team with highest aggregate marks of both memorials), will be awarded with a cash prize of Rs.3000/- & Trophy and a Certificate of Merit.
- Each participant in the Moot Court Competition will be awarded a Certificate of Participation.
Important Dates
- Last date for Final online Registration with payment: 06 January 2026
- Last date for sending the Hard Copy of Registration Form Registration Fee details: 09 January 2026.
- Submission of 1 copy of both side Memorials (Soft Copy) -30 January 2026.
- Submission of 01 copy of both side Memorials (Hard Copy) with Travel detail form-02 February 2026.
- Desk Registration and (copies 5 each side) memorial submission: 13 February 2026 at 09.00 a.m.
- Inaugural Session & Preliminary Rounds: 13 February 2026
- Quarter-Final Round: 13 February 2026
- Semi-Final Round: 13 February 2026
- Final Round & Valedictory and Prize distribution: 14 February 2026.
