About the Centre for Competition and Corporate Law
Centre for Competition and Corporate Law is a student-run forum of Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad with the objective to promote knowledge and awareness about this rapidly flourishing field of law. It aims to provide a platform to all aspiring lawyers to develop their research and advocacy skills in the field of Competition law. Our past events include the first ever National Corporate Restructuring Competition, Value Added Course on Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, multiple webinars, etc.

About the speaker
The speaker for the webinar is Mr. Dhanendra Kumar. Mr. Dhanendra Kumar is a veteran former Indian senior civil servant (IAS) and served for four decades with the Government, at Centre and Haryana State. He was the World Bank Executive Director representing India, SriLanka, Bangladesh & Bhutan. He was the first and former chairman of the Competition Commission of India. He is the founder – Chairman of Competition Advisory Services (India) LLP (COMPAD). He also has expertise in competition and regulatory matters. He is currently the chairman of the committee on national competition policy, which is a committee of experts to formulate a draft for the National Competition Policy of India, and to suggest amendments in the Competition Law.
