About the Webinar

ILS Law College, in collaboration with the NLS Diversable Alliance and the Law and Society Committee at NLS Bangalore, is organizing a webinar on a controversial provision in the UP Population Control Bill [Section. 15] that excludes children with disabilities from the two-child norm.

Through this webinar, we hope to shed light on how the provision negates the dignity and personhood of the disabled is contrary to constitutional and legal principles.

We hope that the webinar will serve as a plea for the reconsideration of the provision so that it does not become law. India’s disabled children and disabled citizens deserve nothing less.
