Institute for Competitiveness, India is the Indian knot in the global network of the Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness at Harvard Business School. Institute for Competitiveness, India is an international initiative centered in India, dedicated to enlarging and purposeful disseminating of the body of research and knowledge on competition and strategy, as pioneered over the last 25 years by Professor Michael Porter of the Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness at Harvard Business School.

Institute for Competitiveness, India conducts & supports indigenous research; offers academic & executive courses; provides advisory services to the Corporate & the Governments and organises events. The institute studies competition and its implications for company strategy; the competitiveness of nations, regions & cities and thus generate guidelines for businesses and those in governance; and suggests & provides solutions for socio-economic problems.

About the Job

Institute for Competitiveness is looking for a dedicated candidate with deep interest in economic, development and policy research for our team at Institute for Competitiveness. Ideal candidates should have a background in social sciences – economics, development studies and related field.

Eligibility and Experience

• A master’s degree in Economics, Development Studies, Public Policy, Political Science and other related field.
• Demonstrated experience in research and writing in public policy, development and economics.
• An ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines and be a team player.
•  Relevant work experience of 0-4 years.

Roles and Responsibilities

Dedicated candidate with deep interest in economic, development and policy research for our team at Institute for Competitiveness. Ideal candidates should have a background in social sciences – economics, development studies and related field. An aptitude for working with data and good writing and presentation skills are required. The job involves assisting on sectoral projects undertaken by the institute in collaboration with the Government of India.

Role Demands

•  Exceptional written and spoken English.
•  Proficient in MS Excel
•  And finally, passion for policy-making and enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced research organization.

Salary
