About This Competition

The MSK UAPA Moot Court Trial Competition 2026 is a unique criminal law litigation simulation designed by Jurisverse and Kraft Legal supported by M. S. Khan Associates to train law students in bail jurisprudence, constitutional liberty, national security law, and courtroom advocacy under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act i.e., UAPA.

Unlike traditional moot courts, this competition replicates the real courtroom progression of a UAPA bail matter – from drafting to oral advocacy to judicial reasoning analysis.

Participants will experience:

  • Intensive bail drafting & oral arguments
  • Evidence-based advocacy
  • Judicial reasoning & constitutional balancing
  • Courtroom strategy under strict timelines

Objectives

  • Develop practical criminal litigation skills
  • Build expertise in bail law & UAPA jurisprudence
  • Train students in time-bound drafting & advocacy
  • Encourage critical thinking on liberty vs national security
  • Provide real courtroom simulation experience

Theme

The Moot Preposition shall revolve around Bail jurisprudence, National security laws and courtroom advocacy. The Moot Preposition is shared along with Competition brochure.

Eligibility

The Competition is open to law students enrolled in any 3-year or 5-year LL.B. program from universities and institutions across India.
