About the Job

Hammurabi & Solomon Partners is expanding the Intellectual Property Practice and has immediate openings for two key roles: Trademark Agent and Patent Agent / Analyst

 Working Hours: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM on full working days

Eligibility

• Trademark Agent- Experience: 2-4 years
• Patent Agent / Analyst- Experience: 4-7 years and Registered Patent Agent.

Responsibilities

Trademark Agent

• Conduct comprehensive trademark searches and provide expert opinions.
• Manage the filing and prosecution of trademark applications.
• Offer legal counsel on various trademark matters.
• Address examination reports, office actions, and represent clients in hearings at the Trademark Office.
• Assist in trademark oppositions, and rectifications, and support the litigation team through research and case analysis.

Patent Agent / Analyst

• Analyze patent documents, including technical specifications, search and examination reports, prior art, and relevant legal decisions.
• Draft and amend patent claims, analytical memos on statutory provisions, and position papers on current scientific and technological advancements.
• Prepare and review legal documentation for patenting new inventions and technologies.
• Develop responses to objections raised by patent examiners and ensure compliance with the Patents Act, 1970, and the Patent Rules, 2003.
