About Government Law College, Ernakulam
The Government Law College, Ernakulam, established in 1874, is Kerala’s oldest law college and one of India’s most prestigious institutions. Located in the heart of Kochi by the Vembanad Lake, the college boasts a rich legacy of 150 years, producing eminent luminaries such as former Chief Justice of India, Hon’ble Justice K. G. Balakrishnan, Judge of Supreme Court Justice K. M. Joseph, former Chief Justice of Kerala Justice K. K. Usha, former Advocate General of Kerala K. P. Venue
All rounds will be conducted offline at the campus of Government Law College, Ernakulam, in the city of Kochi, Kerala.
Eligibility
The competition is open to the Law colleges, Law schools, Law Departments, and Law Universities recognized by the Bar Council of India. The participation is limited to undergraduate students in law, both in the 3-year and 5-year presently undergoing regular courses. The number of teams from an institution is not restricted.
Team Composition
Each team must consist of 3 members:
- 2 speakers
- 1 researcher
The maximum number cannot be modified under any circumstances.
Each team will be provided a team code at the time of provisional registration, prior to the submission of memorials via e-mail. This team code will be used to refer to the team for the whole competition.
Registration & Fee Details
- Provisional Registration Rule: A registration fee of INR 3000/- shall be paid by the participating teams. Each team shall provisionally register or the Competition through this link:

- The last date for provisional registration is 17th February 2026.
- Provisional registration after the given deadline shall not be accepted, under any circumstances.
- After the deadline for the provisional registration expires, the organisers shall respond to each provisionally registered team, with a unique team code, which shall be used to identify the teams during the competition.
- The 16 teams qualifying the Memorial Selection Round shall proceed to complete the Final Registration upon payment of a Final Registration Fee of INR 2,000/-
- The Final Registration form will be sent to the selected teams on the day of announcing the result of the Memorial Selection (28th February 2026).
Selected Teams should complete the final registration form with photos of team members and signature of the Head of the Institution (along with the Seal of institution) and a scanned copy of the same along with the payment receipt should be sent to [email protected] with the subject, ‘Registration for XXIII National Moot Court Competition for Adv. T. S. Venkateswara Iyer Ever Rolling Trophy, 2026’on or before 2nd March 2026.

Competition Structure
The competition will follow a multi-round format, on 14th March 2026, the preliminary rounds and
Quarter finals will be conducted, followed by Semi – finals and Finals on 15th March, 2026.

The winners of the above-mentioned titles will be awarded a prize pool worth 1.5 Lakh, certificates, and ever-rolling trophies. In addition to the above, Certificates will be given to other categories of winners and all other participants.
