About the Job
The D. E. Shaw group is seeking a Senior Specialist (Real Estate & Commercial Contracts) to join its Legal and Compliance team in Hyderabad. The role focuses on infrastructure and real estate laws, commercial contracts, and related legal matters, including contract drafting, negotiations, due diligence, and regulatory compliance support.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law
- 4 to 6 years of relevant experience, including expertise in infrastructure and real estate law and contract drafting and negotiations
- Detailed knowledge of commercial contract laws and infrastructure and real estate regulatory frameworks
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines effectively
- Self-motivated and results-oriented approach
- Master’s degree in Law or a related field

Responsibilities
- Review, draft, and negotiate infrastructure, real estate, and commercial contracts
- Provide legal support for infrastructure, real estate, and commercial transactions
- Conduct due diligence and ensure regulatory compliance
- Review and strengthen tender and procurement documentation
- Support leasing requirements and specialized facility projects
- Handle general commercial contracts and related documentation
- Collaborate with administrative, finance, operations, and human capital teams
- Develop contract review processes and draft templates
- Conduct legal research on infrastructure, banking and finance, and real estate laws and regulations
