Job Description

• Economic Laws Practice (ELP) is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Associate to join our Litigation, Arbitration & Dispute Resolution Team.
• The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in arbitration matters, including drafting, research, and appearing before arbitral tribunals as well as arbitration-related litigation.
• Candidates with a strong litigation background who are keen to build or transition into arbitration are also encouraged to apply.

Eligibility

• 4 to 6 years of experience in arbitration (institutional or ad hoc) preferred.
• Strong legal research and drafting skills.
• Familiarity with arbitration laws, procedures, and case strategy.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Courtroom exposure in litigation matters will be an added advantage.
• Ability to manage multiple matters efficiently and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Handling arbitration proceedings, including domestic and international arbitrations.
• Drafting pleadings, statements of claim/defence, evidence, and written submissions.
• Conducting legal research on arbitration laws and related legal issues.
• Coordinating with clients, experts, and co-counsels as required.
• Assisting in court proceedings related to arbitration (e.g., Section 9, 11, 34, 37 applications under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act).
• Managing case files and maintaining detailed records.
