University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS) was established in 2004-05 with the aim of providing quality education and training in the legal profession. During a short span of time, UILS has become one of the premier institutions in the country for providing legal education.

About Mississippi College School of Law

Mississippi College School of Law is located in downtown Jackson, Mississippi — the capital city and heart of the state’s legal community. The State Capitol, Mississippi Supreme Court, federal courts, and many of Mississippi’s most respected law firms are within walking distance of the MC Law campus. Unlike more isolated law schools, MC’s location puts one in the middle of the legal action.

About the Seminar

The two-day International seminar on the Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Constitutionalism and the Rule of Law aims to garner a strong academic response to address the legal issues associated with AI applications and their interface with constitutional values.

This seminar shall invite panel discussions from national and international speakers and shall have sessions revolving around the various aspects of AI in the litigation industry to discuss the opportunities and regulatory issues concerning AI. The International Seminar will help participants involved either in industry or within academia become aware of the new developments in AI in law.

Submission Guidelines

  • The abstract must not exceed the limit of 300 words.
  • The abstract shall also contain the particulars of the author, including contact details, designation, and institution.
  • The abstract must be submitted to [email protected]. It should be positively submitted before the deadline.
  • The paper shall be 5000-7000 words accompanied by a cover page containing the following details of the author/s: Full name Designation along with Institution/Affiliation Professional/Educational details and Email ID.
  • The submission should be made in MS Word, i.e., Doc/Docx format, with the following specifications: OSCOLA Citation method to be followed Font: Times New Roman Line Spacing: 1.5 Points Font Size: Title: 16 Points Sub-Title: 14 Points Text: 12 Points.
  • The submitted research papers will be evaluated based on relevance to the theme and broad topics of the seminar, originality of the research paper, policy significance, and engagement with the broader research area of Artificial Intelligence and Law based on the underlying constitutional values.
  • The papers may be theoretical, applied, or policy-oriented. Selected papers will be published in the form of an edited book after the author incorporates the suggestions/changes suggested during the discussion/questions session and review of the papers.

  • Notification of Selected Abstract: 4th March 2024
  • Submission of Full Paper: 22nd March 2024
  • Last Date of Registration: 22nd March 2024
  • Seminar Date: 29th & 30th March 2024

  • Registration fees: Rs. 1000/- for Teachers/Academicians/Professionals
  • Rs. 500/- for Research Scholars/Students Rs. 500/- for Co-Author (Maximum 1)
