Sagus Legal Elevates Three Lawyers as Firm Strengthens Leadership Across Corporate and Disputes Practices
Reinforcing its commitment to nurturing talent from within while strengthening capabilities across its core practice areas, Sagus Legal has announced the promotion of Amrita Bakhshi to Counsel, Rishabh Dua to Principal Associate, and Mudassir to Senior Associate.
The promotions come at a time of continued growth for the firm, following the recent launch of its Gurugram office and the expansion of its leadership team. This reflects Sagus Legal’s long-term strategy of investing in specialist legal talent to support clients navigating increasingly complex corporate, regulatory and commercial matters across sectors.
As Counsel, Amrita Bakhshi will continue to advise domestic and international clients on general corporate advisory, private equity and venture capital investments, mergers and acquisitions, distressed acquisitions, commercial litigation and white-collar crime, while also supporting businesses on matters relating to technology and e-commerce laws. Since joining Sagus Legal in 2020, she has played an instrumental role in advising on complex corporate transactions and strategic advisory mandates, earning the trust of clients through her commercial acumen and multidisciplinary approach.
Promoted to Principal Associate, Rishabh Dua will continue to strengthen the firm’s Dispute Resolution, Arbitration, Insolvency & Bankruptcy and Regulatory Litigation practice. Having joined the firm in 2025, he has advised clients across commercial disputes, insolvency proceedings and regulatory litigation before various judicial and quasi-judicial forums. His elevation reflects the firm’s growing focus on building a robust disputes practice capable of addressing increasingly high-stakes business disputes.
Mudassir, who has been elevated to Senior Associate, has been recognised for his consistent contribution to the firm’s Commercial & Regulatory Disputes practice. Since joining Sagus Legal in 2024, he has advised clients on a range of commercial and regulatory matters, demonstrating strong technical expertise, sound legal judgement and a client-first approach. In his new role, he will take on greater responsibility in managing client engagements while continuing to mentor and support the firm’s growing team of young lawyers.
