The DPIIT-IPR Chair was established by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, at NUSRL in 2023. Its objective is to facilitate intellectual property education and research under the Scheme for Pedagogy and Research in IPRs for Holistic Education and Academia (SPRIHA).

The University is inviting expressions of interest for one contractual position of Research Assistant under the DPIIT-IPR Chair.
Eligibility
LL.M. degree is desirable, preferably in Intellectual Property Law.
Responsibilities
The selected Research Assistant will be required to:
Join live law courses and learn directly from legal professionals.
- Support the IPR Chair in conducting research and allied activities.
- Undertake research activities, including fieldwork, data collection, data analysis, and report drafting.
- Supervise the work of student researchers and interns associated with the IPR Chair and/or assist principal investigators in conducting research.
- Assist in other research and dissemination activities of the IPR Chair.
- Participate in the overall planning and development of research, training, and extension activities of the Chair.
- Perform other duties, including administrative work, relevant to the aims and objectives of the DPIIT-IPR Chair.
Duration
The appointment will be from the date of joining until 31st March 2027, subject to the terms and conditions of the SPRIHA Scheme and availability of funds.
The appointment may be extended based on satisfactory performance and the availability of funds.
Number of Vacancies
01 (One) Research Assistant.
Remuneration
₹57,000 per month.
Note: TDS at 10% under Section 194J of the Income Tax Act, 1961, will be deducted from the monthly remuneration as per NUSRL, Ranchi regulations funded by the respective programme.
