Rajasthan Judicial Services Examination: Syllabus, Books & Papers

Rajasthan Judicial Services exam (RJS) is conducted by Rajasthan High Court every year for recruitment of Civil Judge (Judicial Cadre). The Rajasthan Judicial Services exam (RJS) 2021 Mains Paper has been conducted recently on 30 April 2022 & 1st March 2022 & its result was declared on 30th August 2022. Those candidates who are interested in becoming Civil Judge in Rajasthan State and are yet to appear in the examination will have to appear for RJS 2022. The Rajasthan Judicial Services Exam (RJS) 2022 will be notified by the Rajasthan High Court in the upcoming year & the 2022 exam notification shall be available on the website of the Rajasthan High Court viz. https://hcraj.nic.in/hcraj/

Notification of the Vacancies

The official notification regarding the upcoming vacancies for the post of Civil Judges (Junior Division) in Rajasthan Judicial Services Exam 2022 will be notified by the Rajasthan High Court on the official website viz. https://hcraj.nic.in/hcraj/

Rajasthan Judicial Services Exam 2022: Exam Pattern

The Rajasthan Judicial Services Exam is conducted in three stages namely Preliminary, Mains & Interview. The details regarding these stages of the exam are as follows:

Preliminary Examination

  1. The Prelims Question Paper Examination shall consist of Objective type questions.
  2. There will be 100 questions for 100 marks (1mark Each) with no negative marking.
  3. Time Duration shall be 2 hours to attempt the paper.
  4. Candidates qualifying the Prelims Exams shall be eligible to appear for Mains Examination.

Mains Examination

  1. Mains Examination consists of four papers & shall be conducted in descriptive answer writing format with 3 hours allotted for first two papers while 2 hours allotted for last two papers

  4. Law Paper II: Criminal Law (100 Marks)
  5. Paper III: Hindi Essay (50 Marks)
  6. Paper IV: English Essay (50 Marks)

Interview Round

Those candidates who clear Mains Exams shall be called for Interview Round which constitute 35 Marks in Total. The final merit will be prepared on the basis of the marks attained by the candidates in the main examination & viva-voce.
