About the Job

S. Majumdar & Co. is hiring Patent Agent / Associate professionals for its Patents Team in New Delhi. The role involves handling patent drafting, prosecution matters, examination responses, and advising on prosecution strategy under the Indian Patents Act.

Eligibility

Candidates applying for the role should have:

• 3–5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE)
• A Mechanical or Electromechanical technical qualification
• Strong knowledge of the Indian Patents Act and patent practice
• Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently with attention to detail

An LL.B. qualification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drafting provisional and complete patent applications
• Handling patent prosecution matters before the Indian Patent Office
• Drafting responses to examination reports and attending hearings
• Advising on prosecution strategy and related legal aspects under the Indian Patents Act
• Independently managing matters while contributing to long-term team growth
