About The Event
Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai (MNLU Mumbai), in collaboration with Yuvak Biradari (Bharat), and in association with the Pro Bono Club & Centre for Applied Research in Public Health Law, is organizing “The International Policy Drafting & Presentation Competition 2025” on 13th and 14th September 2025.
As part of this initiative, a Panel Discussion will be conducted, bringing together thought leaders and experts to deliberate on one of the most pressing policy challenges of our time. We are honored to host an eminent panel comprising Mr. Kishu Daswani, Mr. Mithil Sampat, Mr. Rabindra Purohit, and Ms. Shilpa Sharma. Their diverse expertise promises to enrich the dialogue with practical, legal, and policy-driven perspectives, making this session highly valuable for students, academicians, policymakers, and professionals alike.
Given the relevance of the chosen theme to governance, law, and public policy, this panel discussion is expected to generate insightful deliberations and will be of significant interest to a wide audience, including policymakers, academicians, researchers, and students.

India faces persistent unemployment challenges, with a 3.2% unemployment rate (PLFS 2023-24), nearly 90% of workers in the informal sector, and 46% of the workforce employed in agriculture contributing only 18% to GDP. Against this backdrop, the competition and the panel discussion aim to explore innovative policy solutions for ethical job creation, skill alignment, and balancing automation with human employment—critical steps in building a self-reliant Atma Nirbhar Bharat.
