Vichar Samiti is a non-profit organisation registered under the Madhya Pradesh Societies Registration Act of 1973.

Vichar Samiti aims to address SDG-related issues via entrepreneurship and volunteerism, focusing on maximising volunteer potential and promoting inclusive social development. Volunteers may work on 17 SDGs to create a long-term and scalable impact. To address the global SDG narrative, we address topics like job creation, community development and empowerment, education, entrepreneurship, health and the environment.

Responsibilities and Skills Required

I. Research and Documentation: Responsibilities

Support the team with research, both primary and secondary on different topics
Write research papers, articles, blog posts, reports, etc
Make presentations, graphical representations, etc

Skills Required

Knowledge of data management and analysis tools
Knowledge of research methodology
Excellent command over English and Hindi
Prior experience in writing, content creation

II. Branding and Communication: Responsibilities

To create brand awareness about Vichar globally
Creating and implementing strategies for online and offline communication channels
Ideation and creation of newsletters, magazines, and reports highlighting our initiatives and popularising it
Creating video content for social media and other internal purposes
An ability to lead and coordinate a team of Interns
Coordinating and managing the logistics for online and offline events
Collation of information from different departments to create content for external audiences
Driving the updation and operation of our website

Skills Required

Excellent command over English and Hindi
Prior experience in writing, content creation, marketing, and branding
Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders
Interest towards the social sector space and the UN Sustainable Development Goals
Basic knowledge of Digital Marketing and Branding
Basic knowledge of designing, video editing and WordPress will be an added advantage

III. Proposal Writer: Responsibilities

Responsible for writing effective concept notes, grant and CSR proposals for ongoing and upcoming projects.
Develop content for internal and external communication, including various reports like donor reports, monthly reports, newsletters, brochures, marketing materials etc.
Explore, evaluate, strategize and execute applications for various funding opportunities, across corporate, foundations and governments.

Skills Required

Comfortable working with MS Office tools (Word/Excel/PowerPoint etc).
Basic design understanding for proposals and reports, including graphics, and typography.
A minimum of two years of successfully demonstrated experience in proposal writing would be desirable.

IV. Content Writing: Responsibilities

To document content from primary as well as secondary sources
Collation of information from different departments to create content for external audiences
Ideation and creation of newsletters, magazines, and reports highlighting our initiatives and popularising it
Creating video content for social media and other internal purposes
Driving the updation and operation of our website
