About the Organization

Founded in 1949 in Delhi, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) is a student organization  dedicated to national integration and social consciousness. The organization runs various programs to  solve student problems and encourage hidden talent, including study circles, personality development  camps, and specialized workshops for medical, management, and law students. This specific internship  is organized by the ABVP Allahabad University Unit in Prayagraj.

About NYAYA

The Legal Internship NYAYA is a premier legal internship program designed to bridge the gap between  academic learning and professional practice in Prayagraj. While Prayagraj is home to the illustrious  Allahabad High Court, internship opportunities for law students have historically been scarce, often  forcing them to travel to cities like Delhi or Tier one cities. NYAYA aims to eliminate this need by  providing local, high-quality mentorship and hands-on experience. The program’s vision extends  beyond internships to establishing a permanent body for free legal advice and legal awareness.

Program Structure and Duration

The internship is a 4-week (28 days) program offered in two annual cycles: Summer and Winter. The upcoming session features two parallel slots:

  • Slot I: January 15, 2026, to February 15, 2026.
  • Slot II: January 17, 2026, to February 17, 2026.

Objectives of the Internship

  • Localization of Opportunity: A major goal is to provide high-quality internships locally,  effectively eliminating the necessity for students to travel to distant major hubs like Delhi or  Bombay to gain professional exposure.
  • Practical Skill Enhancement: The program is designed to enhance legal skills and knowledge  through practical application, specifically focusing on legal drafting and research.
  • Direct Mentorship: It seeks to connect students with esteemed legal practitioners and experts,  providing them with professional guidance and networking opportunities across various  practice areas.
  • Fostering Regional Excellence: By utilizing the resources of the Allahabad High Court, the  program aims to foster a sustainable culture of legal excellence within the Prayagraj region.
  • Social and Legal Awareness: Beyond immediate career development, the program’s long-term  vision is to establish a permanent body that offers free legal advice and organizes legal awareness programs for the community.
  • Immersion in Litigation: Students are encouraged to attend and  observe court proceedings, allowing them to “Learn, Litigate, and Lead” within the Indian legal  system.
