About the Agenda

The Youth Parliament will focus on the Delimitation Bill and Women’s Reservation in Parliament. Participants will examine the constitutional and political implications of delimitation, representation of constituencies and States, and the relationship between delimitation and women’s political representation.

The discussion will encourage participants to consider the need for delimitation, population-based representation, federal balance, representation of States, women’s representation in Parliament, and the constitutional and practical challenges involved.

How the Event Will Be Conducted

  • Participants will take part in a structured Mock Parliament.
  • Participants will be assigned parliamentary roles/positions.
  • The agenda will be discussed through speeches, debate and counter-arguments.
  • Participants will research and present constitutional, legal and policy arguments.
  • The proceedings will provide practical exposure to parliamentary debate, public speaking and leadership.

Who Can Participate?

The event is intended for students and young participants interested in law, constitutional issues, Parliament, public policy, debating, public speaking and leadership. No prior Youth Parliament experience is required; the event is designed as a learning and participatory platform.
