About the Event

DME National Moot Court Competition, 2024 is aimed towards ensuring that the students are made aware of the importance of Arbitration Laws. Keeping the above in mind, the Moot Proposition has been made with a problem based upon international arbitration, since it is an important field and needs to be explored more by the members of the legal fraternity, especially the law students at the primary stage.

Eligibility

• Only regular students enrolled in a five-year integrated undergraduate or three-year graduate law program are eligible to register for the competition.
• Each team shall comprise a maximum of 3 members consisting of 2 speakers and 1 researcher only.

Prizes

• The Winning Team shall be awarded a Trophy and a cash prize of 40,000/- INR and an Internship Opportunity at the International Arbitration and Mediation Centre.
• The Runners-up Team shall be awarded a Trophy and a cash prize of 25,000/- INR and an Internship Opportunity at the International Arbitration and Mediation Centre.
• The Best Speaker (Male and Female) shall be awarded a Trophy and a cash prize of 5,000/- INR each.
• The Best Memorial from both teams shall be awarded a Trophy and cash prize of 5,000/- INR each.
• The Best Researcher (Male and Female) shall be awarded a Trophy and a cash prize of 5,000/- INR each.
• Memento to all the Semi-Finalists.

• Last date for payment and final registration is 12th March 2024
• The last date for seeking clarification is 13th March 2024
• Release of clarification 16th March 2024
• Submission of Written Memorial (Soft Copy) 21st March 2024
• Submission of Written Memorial (Hard Copy) 28th March, 2024
• Researchers test 7th April 2024
• Inaugural session, Prelims (1 & 2), Quarter-Finals 6th April, 2024
• Semi-finals, Finals and Valedictory session 7th April, 2024

Registration Details

• Registration for the DME National Moot Court Competition-2024 begins on 11th February 2024. Teams are required to complete their Registration by or before 12th March 2024, 11:59 PM IST.
• Registration can be done by filling up the soft copy of the Application Form or by filling the hard copy of the application form attached at the end of the brochure, (whichever is feasible) to the participating team.
• (Once the Final Registration form is filled in which they will be required to make the payment of Rupees Thirty- Five Hundred Only (Rs. 3500/-) and the Approval Letter from the Faculty Coordinator is received, the teams shall receive the confirmation of their Registration from the DME Law School Moot Court Society.
