About Government New Law College, Indore
The Government New Law College, Indore has been an integral part of Holkar Science College, which was established 134 years ago in the year 1891. It was the year 1923 when legal education started in Holkar College. In the year 1961, Arts, Commerce, and Law branches were separated from Holkar College and a new entity named Government Arts and Commerce College was formed.
The foundation stone of the college building was laid by the Prime Minister Late Shri Jawaharlal Nehru in 1958. Further to which, it was inaugurated by philosopher and President Late Dr. Radhakrishnan in 1960. The college started its new session in the year 1961 as per the directives of the Bar Council of India. The Government of Madhya Pradesh established a separate Law College in 2003.
About the Opportunity
The Moot Court Committee of Government New Law College, Indore is proud to announce the upcoming GNLC National Moot Court Competition 2026. Building upon the success of its previous editions, this prestigious competition seeks to provide a truly supercharged platform to law students from across the country to test their mettle and demonstrate their legal prowess before Hon’ble Justices, Senior Advocates, and expert legal practitioners. The GNLC National Moot Court Competition has witnessed spirited participation from law colleges and universities across India in its previous editions.
Participation is then transformed into accomplishment by the unwavering efforts of our Patron-in-Chief Dr. Vipin Mishra, learned faculty, Moot Court Committee members, student volunteers, and most importantly, by the efforts of the participants themselves. With a rich legacy of mooting accomplishments, the Moot Court Committee, GNLC prioritizes academic excellence above all else and organizes competitions with utmost integrity and transparency. Theme
“Regulation of Investment Schemes and Criminal Liability”
Idea
“Balancing investor protection, regulatory oversight, and constitutional accountability in unregulated collective investment schemes.”
Eligibility
- Students pursuing 3-year or 5-year LL.B. programmes from any recognized law university/college.
- Each participating institution may send one team only.
- A team shall consist of two speakers and one researcher.
Registration Fees
- The registration fee for the National Moot Court Competition is Rs. 4,500/- per team for participation with accommodation.
- Rs. 3,000/- per team for participation without accommodation.
Teams opting for accommodation shall be provided lodging from 13 March 2026 (12:00 Noon) till 16 March 2026 (Morning).

Participants are required to complete their registration by making payment either through the QR code provided or via direct bank transfer using the details mentioned above. The screenshot of the payment needs to be attached while filling the registration form.
Teams opting for accommodation must clearly indicate the same at the time of registration. Participants may be required to share particulars of their travel via arrival and departure form as may be communicated by the Moot Court Committee. The registration fees shall be non-refundable under all circumstances.

Registration Process
Each team shall register for the National Moot Court Competition 2026 by filling the registration form in the prescribed manner by 31 January 2026.

On receipt of the duly filled registration form, the Moot Court Committee shall respond to the participating team, acknowledging receipt. After the deadline for registration expires, the Moot Court Committee shall respond to each registered team with a unique team code, which shall be used to identify teams during the competition.
The Moot Court Committee will accept a maximum of 30 registrations on a first-come basis.
