About PESU National Moot Court Competition, 2026

The National Moot Court Competition 2026, organized by the Faculty of law, PES University in collaboration with Fox Mandal Solicitors & Advocates, India’s leading law firm along with India’s most prominent legal research database providers, SCC Online and SCC Times, as the Knowledge & Media Partners, is a national-level competition that provides an exceptional platform for law students to showcase their advocacy skills on the aspects of Constitutional Law and Criminal laws.

The event is designed to simulate real courtroom proceedings, allowing participants to argue complex legal issues in front of experienced judges. This competition not only hones their legal research and oral advocacy skills but also promotes teamwork and professional growth.

Objectives

• Engage deeply with Constitutional laws and Criminal laws to foster critical thinking skills applicable in real-life scenarios.
• Develop advanced advocacy, legal research, and drafting skills.
• Enhance teamwork by collaborating effectively in a competitive setting.
• Promote a strong commitment to legal practice through active participation.
• Tackle complex legal scenarios and case studies in a simulated courtroom environment.
• Understanding the intricacies of the Constitutional laws and Criminal laws.

Dates And Venue

The National Moot Court Competition,2026 will be held at PES University, Bengaluru, from 27^th February,28^th February and 1^st March,2026. The event includes preliminary round 1, preliminary round 2, quarter-finals, semi-finals, and the grand-finale round, all held on campus.

• 7th February 2026 [Extended from 1^st February, 2026] – Last Date of Registration
• 3^rd February, 2026 – Last date to seek Clarifications
• 8^th February, 2026 – Release of Clarifications
• 21^st February, 2026 – Last date for submission of the soft copy of the Memorial
• 27^th February, 2026 – Inaugural Ceremony, Submission of hard copy of memorials, and Preliminary Rounds
• 28^th February, 2026 – Researchers Test, Quarter Final, and Semi-Final Rounds
• 1^st March, 2026 – Grand Finale and Valedictory ceremony

Eligibility

• Law students enrolled in a full-time three-year LL.B. program or five-year integrated LL.B. (Hons.) programs from any institution recognized by the Bar Council of India are eligible to participate.
• Only 32 teams will be registered on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Awards

• WINNING TEAM: Rs. 40,000/- + Internship opportunity at Fox Mandal Solicitors & Advocates + Three (3) one-year complimentary subscription to SCC Online Web Edition to be distributed to the winning team worth Rs. 32,000 each. + Winners Trophy + Certificate of Merit.
• RUNNERS UP: Rs. 30,000/- + Runners-up Trophy + Certificate of Merit.
• BEST SPEAKER: Rs. 10,000/- + Best Speaker Trophy + Certificate of Merit.
• BEST MEMORIAL (P): Rs. 5,000/- + Best Memorial (P) Trophy + Certificate of Merit.
• BEST MEMORIAL (R): Rs. 5,000/- + Best Memorial (R) Trophy + Certificate of Merit.
• BEST RESEARCHER: Rs. 5,000/- + Best Researcher Trophy + Certificate of Merit.

The registration fees are:

• Rs. 5,000 per team without accommodation.
• Rs. 8,000 per team with accommodation
