About the Job

Mastercard is hiring a Manager, Legal Compliance, Anti-Corruption to support and oversee key compliance processes in collaboration with Regional Compliance Leads. The role focuses on ensuring compliance activities are executed consistently, accurately, and in accordance with internal policies and anti-corruption standards. The selected candidate will also contribute to process improvements, governance, documentation, and audit readiness while serving as a key point of contact for routine compliance matters.

Eligibility

Applicants should have:

• Relevant experience in a compliance, legal, or risk management role, preferably within a multinational organisation.
• A strong understanding of anti-corruption frameworks, including third-party risk management and gifts and hospitality compliance.
• Experience in managing or overseeing compliance processes and maintaining consistency and quality in compliance outputs.
• The ability to assess compliance risks, exercise sound judgment, and resolve moderately complex compliance issues.
• Strong organisational, analytical, and documentation skills with close attention to detail.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced international environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex compliance requirements clearly.
• A Bachelor’s degree. A JD or equivalent law degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will:

• Support Regional Compliance Leads in compliance processes such as business hospitality pre-approvals, third-party due diligence, reporting, and governance activities.
• Act as an initial point of contact for business stakeholders by providing guidance on routine compliance matters.
• Manage follow-ups, track action items, and ensure timely completion of compliance activities.
• Review and validate approvals, due diligence files, and compliance documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Assess and resolve moderately complex compliance issues while identifying risk indicators and escalation requirements.
• Oversee reporting and governance activities, including preparing dashboards, reports, training materials, and committee documentation.
• Ensure consistency and quality of compliance training materials and communications.
• Review policies, procedures, and workflows to ensure alignment with global standards.
• Support documentation retention and record-keeping practices to maintain audit readiness.
• Drive process improvements, workflow standardisation, and enhancements to compliance tools, trackers, and procedures.

The role carries responsibility for safeguarding Mastercard’s information assets by adhering to the organisation’s information security policies, maintaining confidentiality and integrity of information, reporting suspected security incidents, and completing mandatory security training as required.
