About Centre for Excellence in Corporate and Commercial Laws

The Centre for Excellence in Corporate and Commercial Laws (CfECCL) at ICFAI Law School was established with the objective of fostering advanced research and scholarship in core areas of corporate and commercial legal practice, including company law, securities regulation, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, banking and insurance law, and taxation law. The Centre regularly undertakes academic initiatives such as conferences, publications, and collaborative research projects aimed at strengthening the interface between legal scholarship and industry practice.

About the Conference

“Lex et Fiscus” aims to examine the dynamic interface between corporate law and taxation policy in India, particularly in the context of regulatory reforms, emerging technologies, financial markets, and global economic developments. The conference intends to provide a platform for evidence-based research and interdisciplinary engagement addressing contemporary legal challenges affecting corporate governance and tax administration.

The Centre is pleased to announce “Lex et Fiscus: A Conference on Corporate and Tax Laws,” scheduled to be held on 20–21 April 2026 at ICFAI Law School, IFHE, Hyderabad. We request you to kindly circulate the attached Call for Papers on your esteemed platform so that it may reach a wider academic and professional audience.

This conference seeks to create a meaningful academic and professional dialogue on the evolving landscape of corporate governance, regulatory frameworks, and taxation law, with particular focus on contemporary challenges emerging from digital transformation, globalisation, financial regulation, and fiscal policy. Submission Guidelines

  • Abstract: 250-350 words with 5–8 keywords
  • Full Paper: 3000–5000 words (excluding footnotes)
  • Citation Style: Bluebook 21st Edition
  • Formatting: Times New Roman, Font Size 12, 1.5 line spacing
  • Footnotes: Font Size 10, single spacing
  • Margins: 1 inch on all sides
  • Co-authorship: Maximum two authors allowed
  • Plagiarism must be below 10%, with 0% AI-generated text detection report required at the time of submission.

Registration Fees

  • Students (UG/PG): INR 750
  • Research Scholars: INR 1000
  • Academicians and Professionals: INR 1500

Awards and Publication Opportunities

  • Best Paper Award: ₹5,000 per theme along with a Certificate of Merit
  • Top papers will be considered for publication in a Scopus-indexed edited volume.
  • All accepted papers will be published in an edited book with an ISBN.
  • All presenters will receive a Certificate of Participation.
