The Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy is inviting applications for the position of Research Fellow to contribute to legal and policy research and evidence-based law and governance reform.
About Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy
The Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy is an independent think-tank that conducts legal research to make better laws and improve governance for the public good.

The organisation engages with Ministries in the Government of India, State governments, Standing Committees of Parliament, and other agencies and instrumentalities of the State at the Union and State levels. Its work includes advising on proposed legislation and regulation, assisting in legislative drafting, and providing independent critical analyses of existing laws and policies with recommendations for reform.
About the Job
The Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy is hiring a Research Fellow. Research Fellows work closely with their respective teams to conduct legal and policy research, draft publications, and contribute to evidence-based law and governance reform.
Eligibility
Essential
- Undergraduate degree in law;
- 0-1 years of demonstrable work experience in the domain of criminal justice or any other related
- field of research.
- Excellent research and writing/drafting skills.
Desirable

- Postgraduate degree in law, criminology, or public policy, or a related field;
- Experience in interacting with government officials, civil society organizations and concerned
- communities;
- Experience in fieldwork, ethnographic and empirical research;
- Prior publications in journals and newspapers;
Responsibilities
Research Fellows at Vidhi will:
- Conduct legal and policy research.
- Draft publications.
- Contribute to evidence-based law and governance reform.
- Work closely with their respective teams.

This is a full-time position based out of Delhi.
