About the Job
IIFL Home Finance Ltd. is hiring Legal Officers to support its legal, credit, sales, and operations functions. The role involves property due diligence, legal documentation, regulatory compliance, and legal support for retail home loan transactions.
Eligibility
Applicants should have:
- An LL.B. or LL.M. degree from a recognised university.
- 1–4 years of experience in:
- Housing Finance Companies (HFCs)
- NBFCs or Banks
- Law firms specialising in property and banking law
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day legal support to sales, credit, and operations teams and advise on the structuring of retail home loan transactions.
- Conduct legal due diligence of property documents, including title verification, chain of ownership, and encumbrance checks, and provide legal opinions on property eligibility.
- Ensure accurate execution and validation of loan, mortgage, and security documents before disbursement.
- Ensure compliance with Reserve Bank of India (RBI), National Housing Bank (NHB) guidelines, and applicable property laws.
- Support internal and regulatory audits and inspections.
- Manage empanelled advocates and legal vendors, allocate cases, and review legal reports for quality and timely completion.
