About the Job
The Manager – Legal role involves providing strategic legal support across commercial transactions, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, employment matters, and business initiatives. The position requires close collaboration with leadership and cross-functional teams to manage legal risks while supporting the organisation’s growth.
Eligibility
Applicants should have:
- An LL.B. degree.
- 5–7 years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
- Experience in a reputed law firm and/or an in-house legal role with exposure to corporate advisory, transactions, and compliance.
- Experience in handling cross-border contracts and complex commercial negotiations.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and finalising agreements.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including vendor, distribution, licensing, SaaS/technology, and strategic partnership contracts.
- Provide legal advice on new business initiatives, product launches, and strategic projects.
- Advise on corporate governance, regulatory, and compliance matters under the Companies Act, FEMA, SEBI regulations, and other applicable laws.
- Support corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, investments, and corporate restructurings.
- Partner with the HR team on employment-related legal matters, including drafting employment agreements and developing internal policies.
- Work closely with business teams to identify and mitigate legal risks.
- Coordinate with external legal counsel on specialised matters, including due diligence and complex advisory work.
- Monitor regulatory developments and recommend policy and process improvements.
- Enhance contract lifecycle management, compliance monitoring frameworks, and risk management processes.
