About the Job

Desai & Diwanji is seeking an Associate for its Pune office to join the General Corporate practice. The ideal candidate should have transactional exposure through prior internships or work experience and the ability to work on complex matters in a fast-paced environment.

Eligibility

Required Skills & Qualifications

• LL.B. or equivalent degree from a reputed law school
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in general corporate practice at a law firm or corporate legal department
• Strong legal drafting and research skills
• Understanding of corporate laws, commercial laws, real estate laws
• Proficiency in Marathi and English (written and spoken) is essential

Preferred

• Prior internships with leading law firms or reputed organizations
• Strong academic background
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial and corporate agreements
• Support senior associates and partners on M&A, corporate advisory and related matters
• Conduct legal research on corporate/commercial laws/ real estate laws, regulations and policy developments
• Coordinate with internal teams and clients on matter-related documentation
• Ensure timely execution and delivery of assigned tasks
