About the Job

BioUrja Group is seeking a Legal Executive for International Contracts to provide legal support for its operations in India, the United States, and other global jurisdictions. Reporting to the Team Leader (Legal) in India, the role focuses on transactional and commercial legal matters across multiple industries and jurisdictions.

Eligibility

Applicants should:

• Hold an LL.B. or LL.M. degree from a reputed law college.
• Have a minimum of one year of post-qualification experience as in-house counsel or in a law firm. Freshers may also be considered.
• Possess strong drafting and negotiation skills with attention to detail.
• Be capable of working autonomously and handling negotiations independently.
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Be flexible and able to work efficiently in an international operational environment.
• Possess strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Have a pragmatic business approach with an understanding of legal implications on business operations.
• Be able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Entering and verifying contract details in SAP and ensuring proper documentation and archiving.
• Monitoring communications received through the legal department’s email.
• Reviewing commercial aspects of counterparties’ contracts and resolving discrepancies.
• Coordinating with the finance team on contract audits.
• Drafting and reviewing legal documents, including NDAs, Master Trade Agreements, Terms and Conditions, Master Service Agreements, Parent Guarantees, Lease and Storage Agreements, Transportation Agreements, Credit Agreements, Share Subscription and Purchase Agreements, and corporate governance documents.
• Conducting research on international sanctions laws.
• Providing legal advice on contractual matters across various industries.
• Developing internal governance policies and supporting compliance activities.
• Identifying and evaluating legal and business risks.
• Applying risk management strategies and providing proactive legal advice.
• Communicating and negotiating with regulators, external counsel, public authorities, and other external stakeholders.
• Supporting corporate and commercial legal matters.
• Maintaining legal records and documentation.

Mode

This is an in-office position. Work-from-home arrangements are not permitted.

Shift Schedule

The role follows a five-day work week and may require working in either of the following shifts:

• 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM
• 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM

Shift allocation will be based on business requirements.
