About the Job

CoinSwitch is looking for a legal counsel to be at the forefront of legal innovation, advising the on cutting-edge legal issues related to cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, and the evolving regulatory framework around it. Your expertise will be crucial in managing compliance, safeguarding consumer interests, and mitigating potential legal risks.

Eligibility

• Someone with an understanding of the evolving legal landscape surrounding cryptocurrencies in India and a keen interest in Crypto.
• You should have experience and an advanced understanding of Financial market regulations, Commercial Laws, Information Technology, Intellectual Property and Data Protection Laws with exceptional legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• You should be able to draft and negotiate various Service, Vendor, IP and tech-related commercial contracts with minimal supervision.
• Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and comfortable making judgments under ambiguities with the ability to manage multiple priorities which may constantly change.
• Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong business acumen and a passion for technology.
• Someone who understands the transformative power of cryptocurrency and is passionate about shaping its legal future.
• LL.B. from a recognised law college with 2 to 5 years PQE with exposure to regulated environs of fintech/securities / payments / financial services.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the best minds in Crypto and Fintech in India as we solve for Indian consumers of financial products. You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with industry leaders, contribute to policy discussions, and help shape the legal landscape for this emerging technology.
• Provide critical legal support and guidance on a wide range of matters related to cryptocurrency regulations, commercial transactions, and general legal compliance.
