About the Job

Beacon is inviting applications for Associate/Manager/Sr. Manager – Legal positions in its Legal Department. The role involves handling legal documentation, stakeholder coordination, regulatory matters, security creation, compliance, and protection of investors’ and lenders’ interests.

Eligibility

• Qualification: LLB/LLM from a reputed college/university.
• Experience: Freshers can apply; candidates with relevant experience are preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and vetting finance/security documents for various secured and unsecured borrowings of corporate clients.
• Liaising with lenders, borrowers, lawyers, valuers, investors, and internal teams.
• Coordinating with legal counsel for finalisation of transaction-related documents and agreements.
• Representing the company before government, semi-government, and local authorities on a case-to-case basis.
• Monitoring pendency and ensuring creation of stipulated security.
• Ensuring statutory filings within the stipulated timelines.
• Ensuring renewal of insurance and issuance of revival letters by obligors.
• Handling escalations related to post-execution formalities.
• Protecting investors’ rights and lenders’ interests.
• Monitoring various ratios, DRR, rating, and financial condition of the issuer company on a quarterly, half-yearly, and yearly basis.
• Assisting with internal and external audits.
• Handling any other work assigned by the company from time to time.

Legal Knowledge

Candidates should have in-depth knowledge of:

• Banking law and practice.
• Corporate laws, including the Companies Act, Contract Act, Transfer of Property Act, Stamp Act, and Registration Act.
• SEBI Regulations.
• Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code and NCLT procedures.
• RDB and SARFAESI Acts.
• Trustee business.
