About the Job

Neev Juris is looking for an Associate Legal who can work across multiple practice areas, learn quickly, and execute assignments diligently under supervision. The role involves working across corporate legal advisory, Data Privacy under the DPDP Act, 2023, and real estate documentation.

The position is not narrowly specialised, and the selected candidate may work on corporate advisory notes, DPDP compliance projects, and real estate documentation support. The ideal candidate should be curious, precise, and comfortable researching unfamiliar regulatory questions.

Eligibility

• Candidates must hold an LL.B. degree, either a 3-year or 5-year integrated programme, from a recognised university.
• Applicants must be enrolled with a State Bar Council and have cleared the AIBE.
• Candidates should have 0–2 years of relevant experience. Strong fresh graduates are also welcome to apply.
• Strong legal drafting and research fundamentals are required.
• Applicants should possess excellent written and spoken English skills.
• Working proficiency in MS Word and Excel is required, along with comfort in adapting to AI-assisted tools.
• Prior internship exposure to corporate law, data privacy, compliance advisory, or real estate transactions is preferred.
• Working familiarity with the DPDP Act, 2023, IT Act, 2000, Companies Act, 2013, or RERA is desirable.
• Coursework or certification in data privacy or compliance will be an advantage but is not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Draft and review corporate advisory notes, contracts, NDAs, vendor agreements, and terms of service under senior supervision.
• Support DPDP Act, 2023 compliance engagements, including privacy notices, consent frameworks, DPIAs, vendor/Data Processing Agreement assessments, and gap/remediation reports.
• Conduct regulatory research across sectors, including consumer protection, labour law, and sector-specific rules, and prepare clear and well-cited research memos.
• Assist with real estate due diligence and documentation, including title and encumbrance checks, drafting and reviewing sale, lease, and gift deeds, and RERA compliance basics.
• Liaise with clients, vendors, and counterparties regarding documentation and follow-ups as directed.
• Support matter management and client deliverables.
