About the Job
LightFury Games is hiring a Legal Associate to join its in-house legal team in Bengaluru.
This role is suited for lawyers trained at top-tier law firms who are looking to transition into a dynamic in-house position with significant ownership, commercial exposure, and direct business impact.
This is not a routine contracts role. The position offers hands-on experience across transactions, structuring, fundraising, intellectual property strategy, and commercial operations in a fast-scaling technology business.
Eligibility
- 1–4 years Post-Qualification Experience (PQE), preferably from Tier-1 law firms or with strong transactional experience
- Experience in M&A, PE/VC, and general corporate matters preferred
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills
- Commercial mindset and ability to work closely with business teams
- Interest in technology, gaming, or startup ecosystems
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Supporting fundraising transactions and investor documentation
- Corporate structuring and governance across group entities
- Managing end-to-end legal due diligence processes
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial, technology, licensing, and strategic partnership agreements
- Intellectual property strategy, portfolio management, and IP protection
- Supporting game development and commercial launch processes
- Advising product and business teams on legal aspects of game features, monetization models, and expansion
- Managing external law firms and specialist advisors
- Advising leadership teams on risk-balanced commercial decisions
- Supporting the General Counsel on strategic and cross-border matters
