About the Job

Amicus Legal Office is looking for an Associate for the law office situated in Jangpura Extension, New Delhi.

They are into general litigation with a primary focus on service law, consumer protection laws and arbitrations.

Eligibility

  • Minimum 2-3 years of professional working experience. Freshers, too, may be considered provided they meet the conditions in the ensuing points.
  • The Applicant must be able to draft pleadings such as Writ Petition, Original Applications for Central Administrative Tribunal, Plaints, Written Statements, Counter Affidavits, Rejoinders/Replications, Consumer Complaints, Legal Notices, their replies, etc. Experience in the above would be a plus.
  • The Applicant must be good at law finding, and it is expected that the Applicant must be precise in finding precedents in support of a case. Hence, the Applicant is required to know how to operate Livelaw, Manupatra, etc.
  • Knowledge of MS Word and a swift typing speed is a must. At the same time, hyper dependence on AI is discouraged.
  • During the course of employment, the Applicant may have to deal with Clients and hence Applicant must possess good communication skills, with proficiency in both written and spoken English and Hindi.
  • Timeliness in submitting assignments is non-negotiable.
  • Proximity to the office will be preferred.
  • Applicant should be available for immediate joining upon successful engagement.

Salary

The selected Applicant will have to undergo a drafting test, which will be followed by a personal interaction.

There shall be a mandatory paid probation for a period of 3 months. The remuneration will be as per the general norms followed by practising Advocates. Hence, salary expectations should be realistic. In the email, the Applicants will have to point out their monthly salary expectation too. This will help us save everybody’s time.
