About the Job
Target is hiring a Lead Compliance Specialist – Corporate Real Estate (CRE Compliance) for its Bengaluru office.
The role focuses on ensuring compliance with labour laws, statutory regulations, vendor governance requirements, and regulatory obligations across the Corporate Real Estate (CRE) function. The selected candidate will oversee compliance monitoring, audits, reporting, stakeholder coordination, and vendor compliance programmes.
Eligibility
Applicants should have:
- A Bachelor’s Degree (mandatory) in Law, Compliance, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline.
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in labour law compliance, CLRA compliance, regulatory audits, and vendor compliance programmes.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and work within tight deadlines.
- Strong relationship management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience in delivering presentations.
Responsibilities
- Manage labour law compliance, CLRA compliance, BOCW compliance, and other statutory and regulatory requirements applicable to the Corporate Real Estate team.
- Monitor compliance obligations and ensure timely submission of statutory records, licences, registrations, and returns.
- Maintain compliance trackers and ensure timely closure of action items.
- Prepare periodic compliance reports, dashboards, and management updates.
- Review compliance documentation submitted by vendor partners and identify compliance gaps.
- Maintain compliance records and documentation for audits and inspections.
- Coordinate with vendor partners to collect audit evidence and required documentation.
- Track audit observations and ensure timely closure of audit findings and corrective actions.
- Conduct periodic compliance reviews and assessments of vendor partners.
- Escalate compliance risks and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
- Collaborate with Corporate Real Estate, Compliance, HR, and vendor management teams.
- Provide guidance on regulatory compliance requirements and audit preparedness.
- Facilitate effective communication between internal stakeholders and vendor partners on compliance matters.
