About the Organiser

M.M. Shankarrao Chavan Law College, Pune, Maharashtra, is established by Marathwada Mitra Mandal, an educational trust, in the name of its founder President, Late Shri Shankarraoji Chavan. The College offers B.A. LL.B., B.B.A. LL.B., LL.B., LL.M. programmes and has a Ph.D. Research Centre recognised by Savitribai Phule Pune University.

The College also offers various Diploma, Certificate, and Value-Added Courses approved by the University. With an excellent academic record and remarkable achievements, the institution has carved a niche in legal education and is accredited with an ‘A’ Grade by NAAC, Bengaluru, in both its 1st and 2nd accreditation cycles.

About the Event: Late Justice P.B. Sawant Twelfth National Moot Court Competition (2025-26)

Initiated in the academic year 2013-14, the National Moot Court Competition is organised in the revered memory of Late Justice P.B. Sawant. Now in its 12th edition, the competition serves as a common platform for law students across India to test their theoretical knowledge through a hypothetical problem and develop advocacy skills. The association of Justice P.B. Sawant’s esteemed name adds immense prestige and pride to the event.

Eligibility

The competition is open to undergraduate bona fide regular students pursuing 3-year or 5-year LL.B. programmes during the academic year 2025-26.
