About The Opportunity
Kristu Jayanti Moot Court Competition 2026 is a prestigious intercollegiate platform inviting law students from across the country to engage in rigorous legal research and courtroom advocacy. Organised by the Kristu Jayanti Mooters’ Society, the competition aims to enhance skills in memorial drafting, legal analysis and oral arguments. This platform equips aspiring legal professionals with critical thinking and advocacy skills essential for practical legal training.
Theme
The theme explores the growing integration of Artificial Intelligence in modern healthcare systems and the complex legal and ethical issues arising from its use. It focuses on concerns relating to medical autonomy, regulatory oversight, liability, patient safety, and constitutional rights in the context of high-risk AI-enabled medical devices.
Participants are encouraged to critically examine the intersection of technology, medicine, and law, particularly in light of emerging challenges faced by regulatory authorities, manufacturers, medical professionals, and patients.
Eligibility
- Students enrolled in full-time 3-year LLB or 5-year LLB programs at a university, college and institutions that have been approved by the Bar Council of India are eligible to register in this competition.
- More than one team from one institution/university cannot register for the competition.Each team shall comprise a maximum of three (3) members wherein two (2) members shall perform the role of a speaker and one (1) member shall perform the role of a researcher. Teams have the option to take part even in the absence of a researcher.
- But one of the other two team members needs to present themselves for the Researcher Test.Cross-institutional teams are not permitted.Once the team composition is communicated to the Organisers, no change in team composition shall be permitted unless the Organisers have approved such change.No observer/ additional member can be part of a team in any capacity.
- Any changes in the criteria of eligibility is subject to the discretion of the Organisers.
Registration Fee
- For Preliminary Rounds (Online): ₹ 2,000/- per team
- Upon qualifying to the advanced rounds (Offline): an additional sum of ₹ 3,000/- per team
- Registration fee does not include accommodation
- All payments made are non-refundable

Registration Process
- Interested teams must register for the Competition by filling out the online Registration Form. The Registration form can be accessed from below.
- The payment shall be made using the payment QR Code available in the registration form.
- The teams are required to submit the scanned copies of the following documents at the time of registration:A bonafide letter of authorization from the relevant accredited institution allowing the team to participate in the competition.
