About the Job

Blancco is seeking a Jr. Legal Counsel to support its legal and business teams on commercial contracts, compliance, legal operations, and data privacy matters. The role involves working on a range of technology and commercial legal issues, supporting internal stakeholders, and contributing to legal process improvement and risk management.

Jr. Legal Counsel

Eligibility

  • At least an LL.B. degree from a recognized university.
  • 1–3 years of legal experience, preferably in-house or in roles supporting technology, software, SaaS, or commercial clients.
  • Working knowledge of data privacy laws and regulations, including GDPR.
  • Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and provide practical, business-oriented legal advice.
  • Comfort with legal technology, AI tools, and business applications.
  • Flexibility to support work during US time zone hours.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including NDAs, SaaS/Software Agreements, Vendor Agreements, Partner Agreements, and DPAs.
  • Provide practical legal support and risk-based advice to business and cross-functional teams.
  • Conduct legal research and assist with regulatory, compliance, and commercial legal matters.
  • Support data privacy and compliance initiatives, including GDPR-related requirements.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and contractual risks.
  • Maintain contract templates, legal documentation, and contract repositories.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of legal policies, processes, and playbooks.
  • Use legal technology and AI tools to improve legal operations and efficiency.
  • Monitor relevant legal and regulatory developments affecting the business.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external counsel as required.
  • Support legal operations and business activities during US time zone hours.
