JSA Internship Eligibility

JSA offers a much in-demand internship program designed to provide meaningful, hands-on exposure to the practice of law. It invites applications from students who meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • ⁠Demonstrated academic excellence in the LLB program.
  • ⁠⁠Active participation in co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
  • ⁠⁠Prior internship experience in preferred practice areas is desirable.
  • ⁠⁠Openness to work across practice areas and locations, based on firm requirements.
  • ⁠Candidates who have passed out their LLB degree are not eligible for internships.

Can LLB Graduates Apply for the JSA Internship?

No.

JSA has specifically clarified that candidates who have already passed their LLB degree are not eligible for internships.

The internship programme is therefore intended for students who are currently pursuing their LLB degree.

Law graduates looking for opportunities with JSA should explore suitable recruitment or career opportunities offered separately by the firm.

How to Apply for the JSA Internship?

Students interested in the JSA Internship can submit their application by email.

Applications should be sent to: [email protected]

The subject line of the email should follow the format prescribed by JSA: Internship / College Name / Year of Passing / Preferred PA / Location

Here, “Preferred PA” refers to the applicant’s preferred practice area.

For example: Internship / XYZ National Law University / 2028 / Corporate / Mumbai

Applicants should attach an updated CV and ensure that the subject line contains all the information requested by the firm.

Important Instructions for JSA Internship Applicants

  • JSA has stated that it receives a large volume of internship applications. Consequently, the firm will contact applicants only if they are shortlisted for an internship.
  • Students should therefore note that they may not receive an individual response if their application is not selected.
  • JSA has also specifically requested applicants not to send reminder emails regarding their internship applications.
  • Applicants should also avoid contacting or following up with partners of the firm regarding the status of their internship application, as the firm has stated that such follow-ups are not desirable.
  • Students should submit a complete application through the prescribed email address and wait for communication from the firm in case they are shortlisted.
