About NCU – National Moot Court Competition 2024
This edition of the National Moot Court Competition at the School of Law, the NorthCap University features the republic of Tokugawa which has been classified as a developing country by various international organizations. The current government intends to accelerate infrastructure growth for which the various state governments are also promoting the same.
Taking the same vision ahead, the State of Pawainam invited a building company to develop an IT Park on the outskirts of the city which will feature a residential complex, a shopping mall, a school, and a playground. One concern of a tribe residing in the vicinity of the proposed IT Park is the access to a lake that they consider sacred. The problem features issues on the Environment Impact Assessment, Rights of Tribal populations, concerns regarding compensation, wetlands management along the violation of the fundamental rights of the citizens.

Eligibility
Students pursuing their full-time 3-year LLB or 5-year LLB program (1 team per program per institute) from a university or institute
Prizes
- Winning Team Award – Cash Prize of Rs. 15,000/- Along with Winner’s Trophy
- Runners-up Team Award – Cash Prize of Rs. 10,000/- Along with Runner’s-Up Trophy
- Best Mooter Male – Cash Prize of Rs. 5,000/- Along with memento
- Best Mooter Female-Cash Prize of Rs. 5,000/- Along with memento
- Best Memorial – Cash Prize of Rs. 5,000/- Along with memento
