The FP2030 Support Network consists of five regional hubs: North, West and Central Africa; East and Southern Africa; Asia and the Pacific; and Latin America and the Caribbean, and North America and Europe, led by an Executive Director, supported by an Executive Directorate team, who reports to the Governing Board. Each Regional Hub is headed by a Managing Director supported by a small team and hosted by an NGO within the region. Together, these five business units comprise the FP2030 Support Network.
About the Internship

Eligibility
- Candidate must be enrolled in a degree-granting program during the internship or must be a recent graduate (within 8 months of graduation) of a college or university.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle stress.
- Ability to meet regular attendance/tardiness policy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Strong organizational, writing, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to take initiative and be a self-starter.
- Background in international development/global health/human rights, data, and/or communications preferred.
- French language skills a plus
- Must have a personal laptop computer and access to the Internet.
- Must be available to work a maximum of 29 hours per week.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Assist the HIPs and gender teams in core administrative duties, including scheduling of partner meetings, tracking webinars and external events for the FP2030 newsletter, sharing current events related to family planning, and other related tasks.
- Assist the HIPs and gender teams in conducting research and writing to contribute to various team projects, especially regarding the HIP regional and global events & convenings, the Women Deliver conference, and regional gender assessments. This includes the topics of integration of postpartum family planning and post-abortion family planning into maternal and newborn health, supply chain management issues of contraceptives, as well as gender-transformative approaches to family planning
- Assist the HIPs team with social media in conjunction with the Communications team including completing projects for FP2030’s Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, and the creation of HIPs communications products for the FP2030 newsletter, blogs, and events.
- Assist the HIPs team with the analysis of FP2030 country commitments and extracting, standardizing, and organizing relevant data for further analysis. Assist the gender team with regional gender assessments, including setting up key informant interviews, summarizing the literature on gender barriers to family planning, and identifying feminist, LGBTQIA+, and other civil society organizations working in the region on SRHR/family planning.
- Support webinars and other external meetings with key global and non-governmental partners. This may involve drafting presentations in PowerPoint, coordinating meetings with partners, and taking notes.
- Work with the Knowledge Management Team to assist with information organization and tracking HIP-related communications areas in SalesForce.
- Learn administrative and operational aspects of team functionality in a fast-paced work environment, including financial reporting, team logistical organization, and programmatic execution.
- Gain experience working at an organization during a time of institutional change as the team transitions to the next iteration of the global family planning partnership, FP2030.
- Gain exposure to the larger family planning and reproductive health community in Washington, DC and abroad.
