About the Internship

Amicus Publico is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Legal intern to join their team at Amicus Publico LLP. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in various legal practices, focusing on corporate law, arbitration, and ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution). As a Legal Intern, you will work closely with our experienced lawyers, gaining valuable insights and practical knowledge to enhance your legal career.

Success in this position:  Success in this role means actively contributing to our legal team by assisting with research, drafting documents, and supporting case management. A successful intern will demonstrate a keen understanding of legal principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively. You will be proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn, ensuring that you make meaningful contributions to our firm’s success.

Eligibility

• Currently pursuing a law degree from an accredited institution.
• Strong understanding of legal principles and procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Prior experience or coursework in corporate law, arbitration, or ADR is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and analysis on various cases and legal issues.
• Assist in drafting and reviewing legal documents, including contracts, briefs, and pleadings.
• Support lawyers in preparing for hearings, trials, and client meetings.
• Maintain and organize case files, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
• Collaborate with team members to develop innovative legal strategies and solutions.
• Participate in client consultations and provide preliminary legal advice under supervision.
• Stay updated with changes in laws and regulations relevant to the practice areas.
