About Department of Legal Affairs
The Ministry of Law and Justice in the Government of India is a cabinet ministry which deals with the management of the legal affairs, legislative activities and administration of justice in India through its three departments namely the Legislative Department and the Department of Legal Affairs and the Department of Justice respectively.
The Department of Legal Affairs is concerned with advising the various Ministries of the Central Government while the Legislative Department is concerned with drafting of principal legislation for the Central Government.
About the Internship Programme
Department of Law, Justice & LA, Govt. of NCT of Delhi, is organizing Internship Programme for students pursuing a Law Degree. The purpose of this Programme is to acquaint young law students with the working of Department of Law, Justice & LA, Govt. of NCT of Delhi, by giving training in the field of research & referencing work, tendering legal advice in various specialized fields of law such as Constitutional & Administrative Law, Labour Laws, Conveyancing, Arbitration & Contract Law /Legislative Process/ Subordinate Legislation etc.
Eligibility
Students who are pursuing studies:
- in 2nd &3rd year of three-year Law Degree Course or
- in 3rd to 5th year of five year Law Degree Course from any recognized College/Law school/University.
Duration
The internship is being offered during the month of July. The Summer Internship shall be for the period from 01.07.2024 to 31.07.2024.
Seats
The maximum number of Interns to be allowed in one batch shall be 20.
Certificate of Internship
On satisfactory completion of Internship, a Certificate of Internship shall be awarded.
Last Date to Apply
The last Date to apply for this programme is 25 th June, 2024 upto 5:00p.m.
