About the Organisation
The National Law Institute University (NLIU), Bhopal, established in 1997, is one of India’s most prominent law schools, known for its interdisciplinary legal education and research excellence. The Centre for Law and Economics (CLE) promotes research in law and economics, providing efficient solutions to socio-economic and legal challenges. The Centre for Tribal Studies and Research (CTSR) focuses on tribal rights, cultural heritage, and legal empowerment.
About the Conference
The International Conference is being jointly organised by the CLE and CTSR, NLIU Bhopal, on 1st – 2nd November 2025 at the NLIU campus. The conference aims to bring together leading academics, professionals, policymakers, and researchers to deliberate on integrating law and economics in India’s journey towards Viksit Bharat 2047.
About Call for Papers
The Conference invites original, well-researched contributions analysing the intersection of law and economics. Selected papers may be published in an edited book by CLE, and the best paper will be published in the Scopus-indexed GNLU Journal of Law and Economics, after peer review.
Eligibility
Participation is open to: Lawyers, legal professionals, economists, policymakers, judges, academicians, corporate leaders, researchers, NGOs, undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students.

Submission Categories
Research papers addressing the sub-themes of the conference, analytical papers proposing policy reforms, or evaluation-based case studies.
Formatting Guidelines
- Abstract: 200–300 words, 5–6 keywords
- Full Paper: 3000–5000 words (excluding references)
- Similarity Index: ≤10%, AI use ≤10%
- File Format: Word (.doc/.docx)
- Font & Spacing: Times New Roman, 12 pt, 1.5 spacing (main text); Footnotes 10 pt, 1.0 spacing
- Citation: 20th Edition Harvard Bluebook
Submission Guidelines
Abstracts must include title, sub-theme, author(s) name, designation, institution, email, and contact number. Co-authorship allowed up to two authors (subject to registration).
