About The Saveetha Medical and Educational Trust
The Saveetha Medical and Educational Trust was created in 1986 mainly to provide medical relief, to promote Education, and to encourage Research. The Trust started a Saveetha Dental College and established an attached General Hospital in the year 1988. Subsequently, the Trust established a Nursing College, Physiotherapy College, Occupational Therapy College, Law College, and an Engineering College in order to comply with our commitment and to serve the people, especially those living in Rural Village in and around Chennai and adjoining districts of Tamilnadu.
The Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences received Accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers and the National Accreditation Board for Laboratories for RT PCR Testing for COVID-19. The institution has a total student strength of 10000 and 1500 faculties with a non-teaching staff of around 2500.

The Department of Physical Education and Yoga was established in 2021, over the last two years the department has contributed to student achievements in various sports and games in the state, National, and All India-level Level sporting competitions and offering Ph.D. programs in Full Time & Part Time. The Department discharges three functions, namely teaching Physical Education and Yoga, Analyzing student performance, and enriching high-level sporting competition.

- Presentations should be between 6 to 8 minutes. Extra time will result in a deduction of marks at the judge’s discretion.
