About the Conference
Gujarat National Law University, through its V.S. Mani Centre for Air and Space Law is organising a Virtual Conference on Aviation Law amid Covid 19: Implication, Challenges and Prospects.

The event is scheduled for April 23, 2022.
Concept Note
The Covid 19 pandemic has adversely impacted all aspects of human life across the globe. Depending on the emergence of new variants, the degree of impact has varied from country to country at different points in time. Civil aviation, rightly credited with reducing the world to a global village, is facing the worst crisis due to the pandemic.
In order to contain the pandemic and secure public health, nations have resorted to imposing a complete ban on international flights barring a few exceptions. Even domestic travel is permitted subject to various kinds of restrictions in order to ensure the safety of passengers. Such measures have grave consequences for all the stakeholders in the aviation sector like air carriers, aircraft manufacturers, airports, passengers, etc. The consequences have been particularly devastating for countries with an ailing aviation sector before the pandemic. These consequences pose complex issues requiring the balancing of competing interests in the domain of Aviation Law and accordingly require urgent attention of experts.
It is in this backdrop that the international conference aims to contribute to the ongoing discourse on Aviation and Public Health; Aviation Industry; Passengers Rights; Airports Management in the context of Covid 19.”
