About the GLA Moot Court Competition

The GLA Moot Court Competition, organized by ILSR, GLA University, is a prestigious national event designed to enhance legal research and advocacy skills among law students. This competition provides participants with a platform to engage in simulated courtroom proceedings, refining their legal acumen, drafting abilities, and oral advocacy.

Theme

The competition will focus on the dynamic intersection of Competition Law, challenging participants to navigate complex legal issues.

Eligibility

The competition is open to students:

  • Enrolled in a five-year integrated law program in India
  • Pursuing a three-year LL.B. program in India

Team Composition

Each team must consist of:

  • Two speakers and one researcher, or
  • Two speakers, with one also acting as the researcher.

Once designated, roles cannot be changed unless approved by the Organizing Committee.

Registration Fee

Rs. 4,000 per team (excludes accommodation, breakfast, and dinner)

Prizes

  • Winner: Rs. 50,000 + Trophy + Certificate of Merit
  • First Runner-up: Rs. 25,000 + Trophy + Certificate of Merit
  • Second Runner-up: Rs. 10,000 + Trophy + Certificate of Merit
  • Best Mooter: Rs. 5,000 + Trophy + Certificate of Merit
  • Best Researcher: Rs. 5,000 + Trophy + Certificate of Merit
  • Best Memorial: Rs. 5,000 + Trophy + Certificate of Merit
  • Certificate of Participation for all participants

  • Event Dates: February 06-07, 2026
  • Provisional Registration Deadline: January 05, 2026
  • Final Registration Deadline: January 10 2026
  • Clarification Requests Deadline: January 14, 2026
  • Release of Clarifications: January 19, 2026
  • Memorial Submission (Soft Copy): January 28, 2026
  • Memorial Submission (Hard Copy) by Post: February 2, 2026

Interested teams must complete their final registration by submitting the designated Google form by January 10, 2026 (11:59 PM IST). Only 32 teams will be selected. Registration is confirmed upon form submission and payment of the registration fee.

Once registered, teams will receive a unique code for all competition-related communications.
