About NCDTC – WICCI

The National Cybersecurity & Digital Transformation Council (NCDTC) is a council under the Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WICCI). It works to build awareness of cybersecurity, data protection, artificial intelligence, and digital law in the Indian context through knowledge sessions, webinars, and research-driven content.

The Council’s mission is to see women as leaders, and not merely participants, in India’s digital and cybersecurity ecosystem.

About the Session

The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, gives every individual, or Data Principal, a set of enforceable rights over their personal data. These include the right to access information about how their data is processed, have it corrected, completed, updated or erased, nominate another person to exercise these rights, and seek grievance redressal.

For organisations, each of these rights translates into a request that must be received, verified, acted upon, and closed within the timelines prescribed by law.

This interactive session on “Data Principal Request Framework” will explore how organisations can build an effective system to handle these requests, from the moment a request is received until it is resolved.
