About the Job

KPMG India is seeking applications for the role of Executive (Data Privacy and Ethics). The position offers an opportunity to work on data privacy, regulatory compliance, and ethical data governance matters while supporting clients across various industries.

The Executive (Data Privacy and Ethics) will assist clients in navigating data privacy and protection requirements, developing privacy frameworks, and implementing ethical data governance practices. The role involves working on compliance, risk assessment, training, and advisory assignments related to privacy and data ethics.

Eligibility

Candidates should possess any of the following qualifications:

• B.Tech
• LL.B.
• LL.M.

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Assisting clients in complying with data privacy laws and regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and other regional data protection frameworks.
• Supporting the development and implementation of privacy programmes, including privacy policies, consent mechanisms, data subject rights processes, and data breach response plans.
• Conducting Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) to identify and assess privacy risks and recommend mitigation measures.
• Assisting clients in data mapping, data inventory management, and data classification exercises.
• Advising on ethical considerations relating to data collection, use, storage, and sharing.
• Developing and delivering privacy and ethics awareness and training programmes.
• Promoting privacy-by-design principles and supporting the integration of privacy controls into technologies and processes.
• Assisting with the management of data subject requests, including access, rectification, erasure, and restriction requests.
• Monitoring developments in privacy and data protection laws and advising clients on compliance requirements and best practices.
• Building and maintaining client relationships while providing guidance on privacy and ethics-related matters.
