About The Hidayatullah National Law University
Established in 2003, Hidayatullah National Law University has completed the journey of more than one and half a decade. In such a short span of time, HNLU has carved out a niche in the realm of legal education across India and the legacy is soaring towards newer heights day by day with moto Dharma Sansthapanartham meaning ‘for the sake of establishing the primacy of the laws of eternal values.’
Named after the great legal luminary Justice Mohammed Hidayatullah, the University was established by the Government of Chhattisgarh under the Hidayatullah National University of Law, Chhattisgarh, Act (Act No.10 of 2003).
HNLU is the sixth in the series of National Law Schools across India. HNLU has been included in the list of the Universities maintained by the University Grants Commission under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956 and has been declared fit to receive Central assistance in terms of the rules framed under Section 12 (B) of the UGC Act, 1956. The university is recognized by the Bar Council of India under section 7 of the Advocates Act 1961.
About the Ex Arca
Ex Arca, the flagship webinar platform of HNLU would host a Webinar on “Understanding Workplace Laws for Women in India: Special reference to Maternity and Parental leave, Workplace Safety and Equal Remuneration.” The webinar has Ms. Neha Koshy, an emerging authority of the domain, as the Resource Person. She is the Co-Author of the book “Understanding Workplace Rights of Women in India” published by Bloomsbury India. Her work addresses multi stake holders of practicing lawyers, compliance professionals, in-house legal counsels and HR professionals.

The webinar would go live on WebEx and HNLU You tube Channel at 5.30 p.m. on 26th May, 2021. Ms. Neha Koshy’s session would be moderated by Dr.Balwinder Kaur, and anchored by Ms.Debmita Mondal, both faculty of HNLU.
Prof.V.C.Vivekanandan, Vice Chancellor of HNLU speaking on the upcoming event observed, “ In spite of progressive laws for Women at work place, the lack of awareness and non-implementation is a serious concern. This event will disseminate and sensitize the issue to the discerning audience.”
Ex Arca, literally meaning ‘out of the box’, is a unique initiative of the University to bring the people of diverse domains having an interface with law and academics. It has attracted the academia as well as the practitioners in all its previous editions and recorded a great enthusiasm.
