About the Job

VNS Chambers invites applications for the position of Drafting Counsel for matters before the Supreme Court of India & Delhi High Court etc. and in Arbitrations.

Eligibility

• 2–3 years of strong drafting experience in litigation & arbitration
• Excellent legal research skills with ability to analyse judgments, statutes and comparative jurisprudence
• Sound understanding of pleadings before the Supreme Court & High Courts
• Ability to draft independently with clarity, precision and structure

Responsibilities

• Drafting of SLPs, Civil & Criminal Appeals, Writ Petitions, Civil Miscellaneous Applications, Contempt, Review/Curative Petitions etc.
• Drafting Applications, Rejoinders, Written Submissions and detailed Argument Notes
• Drafting Statements of Claim / Defence (SOC/SOD) and allied pleadings in arbitrations
• Advanced legal research on complex questions of constitutional, commercial and procedural law
• Close involvement in case strategy and conference preparation

Remuneration

• Negotiable
• Commensurate with skill, drafting quality, research ability and legal acumen
